The New England Conservatory of Music is one of the oldest and prestigious independent music school in the U.S. It's alumni and faculty are some of the most respected in their field, including opera conductor Sarah Caldwell and composer George Russell. Music Education In The News: The Martina Arroyo Foundation, Inc has launched "Prelude to Performance", a 6-week intensive study geared towards young operatic singers. In addition, there are scheduled performances including "Madame Butterfly" on July 1st, 3pm at the Liederkranz Foundation. Visit their website for more details.
