The saxophone is a popular mainstay in jazz bands and through the years many talented saxophone players have contributed greatly to jazz music. Charlie "Bird" Parker, John Coltrane and Stan Getz are three of the most famous saxophonists who are considered icons for their playing technique and contributions to music in general.
