Saturday January 12, 2008
Carole King is certainly one of the artists who inspired and defined the role of a singer-songwriter. Her well-crafted lyrics, captivating melodies and her unique voice make her songs timeless. She is the artist behind hits like "So Far Away" and "It's Too Late" and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987.

Music Education in the News: Now on its 9th year, the NAMM foundation is asking you where you think the “Best Communities for Music Education" are.

This Day in Music History: 1963 - The song "Go Away Little Girl", written by Carole King/Gerry Goffin and recorded by Steve Lawrence, was on top of the charts.
