Elisabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre was one of the most notable women composers during the Baroque period. She was known as a gifted harpsichordist, improviser and composer. She had a son who died in the early 1700s, followed by her husband's death in 1704.Music Education in the News: For the third time, the Littleton School District in Denver, Colorado is on NAMM's list of "Best Communities for Music Education."
