Her name remains prominent on the list of Medieval composers; Hildegard von Bingen was a composer, visionary and prophetess. In all, she wrote 77 chants including what is considered the earliest known musical drama. Although she hasn't been formally canonized, she is often referred to as St. Hildegard.
