Jingles have a short shelf life, so it's important jingles be catchy and entice the consumers to purchase the product/s. That's why a good jingle writer must be creative, a fast thinker, works well under pressure and with others. A jingle writer must also be a good musician, arranger and writes strong lyrics, among other important characteristics.
This Day in Music History: 1975 - On this day, Bob Dylan and the Band released their album The Basement Tapes. He was injured in a motorcycle accident on July 29, 1966. He disappeared from limelight after the accident but continued to record demos with his band. Their recording sessions later came out in the album The Basement Tapes.
