Songs for Earth Day

By Espie Estrella, About.com

In 1963, a United States Senator by the name of Gaylord Nelson grew concerned of the state of our environment; he felt people should be informed on how to protect and nurture our sorroundings. Through his efforts and the help of other concerned people, the first Earth Day was celebrated on April 22, 1970 and since then, it has spread all over the world. On this day, we are reminded that we should all do our share to protect Mother Nature. Here are several links to songs that you can use to celebrate Earth Day.
