Anton Grigoryevich Rubinstein was a Russian pianist during the 19th century. He and his brother Nikolay learned how to play the piano through their mother. Later on they will study under Aleksandr Villoing and Anton had his first public recital when he was 10. Among his famous works are the operas "The Demon", "The Macabees", "The Merchant Kalashnikov" and "The Tower of Babel"
