He wrote about 20 mass settings, several Magnificat settings, responsories, lamentations, anthems, motets, hymns and psalms. One of his finest works is the great Requiem Mass he wrote in 1603. It was for the funeral of Empress Maria for whom de Victoria worked for several years.
Interesting Fact:
He was ordained a priest in 1575.
