  1. Draw a staff on the board and ask student to write the notes on the lines and spaces of the treble clef. Then ask student to circle the note representing middle C.
  2. Draw a grand staff and write the notes on the lines and spaces of both the treble and bass clef. Indicate how the two clefs are joined by the middle C as shown on this image from Clef Coach.Com.
