harpA plucked string instrument that can sometimes be seen in a symphony orchestra is the harp. It is one of the oldest and beautiful-sounding instruments of the string family. The exact roots of the harp may be difficult to determine, but it certainly has a rich and colorful history. Generally, there are two types of harps: the pedal and non-pedal harp.
